Dear families,

In music this term, our class is learning to read music. To help at home, we're using Trebly, a free website with short lessons and music-reading games.

  • It's free, with no account, no ads and nothing to install. It works on a phone, tablet or computer.
  • Five minutes a day is plenty. A little practice most days helps more than one long session a week.
  • Nothing about your child is collected. There are no logins, and progress is saved only on your own device.

Where to start

New to reading music? Begin with lesson 1, How the Staff Works:

I've been using Trebly with my classes: free music reading games, short lessons and classroom tools (a metronome, flash cards, a chord finder). No accounts or ads, and it works on Chromebooks. Worth a look: trebly.fun/teachers
